This Privacy Policy explains how PortMemo handles information when you use the iOS and iPadOS app.

1. Summary

PortMemo is designed to be local-first. Photos and project data you create are stored on your device by default. We do not operate a user account system for the core app experience. We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information the App processes on your device

Depending on how you use the App, PortMemo may process:

• Device photos and camera captures you choose to add to a project (connection maps / rear-panel references).
• Project content you enter, such as device names, locations, port labels, restore sequences, and checkoff state.
• App preferences stored locally (for example, settings and UI state).
• Purchase status for PortMemo Pro, verified through Apple’s StoreKit / App Store billing. We do not receive your full payment card details; Apple processes payments.

This information is used to provide the App’s features: photographing setups, numbering ports, guided reconnect, managing projects, and unlocking Pro entitlements.

3. Permissions

PortMemo may request:

• Camera — to capture a device photo for a project.
• Photo Library — to select an existing photo for a project.

You can deny or later revoke these permissions in iOS Settings. Some features will not work without them.

4. What we do not do (this release)

• We do not require creating an account to use the core free flow.
• We do not market or enable cloud encrypted sharing in this release (any such entry is disabled / hidden).
• We do not use your photos or projects for advertising.
• We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5. Analytics and tracking

PortMemo is not designed to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. We do not use your project photos for cross-app tracking.

If Apple system diagnostics or App Store analytics are available at the OS level, those are governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.

6. Third-party services

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — purchases, restore, and subscription status.
• Hosting of this policy and related pages — served from our website under https://www.deutec.top/portmemo/.

We do not upload your on-device project library to our servers as part of the default product flow in this release.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because project data is stored on your device, you control retention by keeping or deleting projects, or by deleting the App (which removes locally stored App data, subject to iOS behavior and any device backups you manage).

Purchase records remain associated with your Apple ID under Apple’s policies.

8. Children’s privacy

PortMemo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International users

The App may be used outside your country of residence. On-device processing occurs on your device. This policy page is hosted on servers that may be located in other regions.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
